Farewell to the Shallow Shore and Head for the Deep Sea

From the spotlighted stage of the Central Academy of Drama to the manufacturing workshop of Guoji's deep sea equipment, this way may seem like a complete "career switch". But to me, it is a pursuit following my heart. I've chosen to dedicate my best years to these people who are down-to-earth but have high ideals , and to that deep sea.

To be honest, there was no glory at the beginning when I transitioned from the "artistic charm" to the "workshop atmosphere". It was normal to be rejected by clients in the market and have phone calls hung up on me. What impressed me most was that when I went to visit a client with plan, they didn't even let me in the door. They only said, "You don't know ships." That night, I sat alone on the curb in front of the factory, staring blankly at the moon. At that moment, I suddenly came to my senses: what they rejected was not only me, but also the relationship without the trust that hadn't been established yet, because I didn't know enough about the industry. Since I didn't know, I decided to learn through practical experience and invest time in it. From that frustrated night, I learned to say to myself in the mirror, "Try again."

Later, I completely put myself in the blueprints. I could pore over the seemingly boring parameters and product introduction until late at night. After a period of study, I would visit ports, talk to ship captains, and communicate with design institutes. I gradually realized that the real breakthrough point for Guoji isn’t depend on an order of a marine part, but in applying our excellent forging technology and new material processes as "problem-solving tools" in this traditional industry. When you can solve the pain points that customers haven't even thought of, trust will naturally be built.

It is because of this way that I am full of confidence in the company's future. I always believe that industry is rational, but the driving force behind its progress must have a human touch. Why I long for Guoji is not just a factory that takes orders and produces, but a technology brand that can continuously break boundaries and become the "backbone of the deep sea" in the country's strategic layout. This road is difficult, but we, our people, are brave enough to do it!
